Opening ceremony of 20th National Education Council which convened after 7 years in order to take advisory decisions will be held with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Presidential Complex.   

 

The main theme of the popularly attended council under the leadership of Minister Özer will be "equal opportunity in education." Three special expert commissions namely "equal opportunity in basic education, "reinforcement of vocational education" and "professional improvement of teachers" will be established during the council.

 

Meanwhile, preparations carried out in five different fields were completed in an effort to maintain large participation in the council. The Ministry established working groups in different subjects varying from preschool education to university entrance system were also founded. Representatives from all cities of the country were elected and 26 different regional meeting reports were prepared in order to increase the representation in the council. Reports were submitted to the council members before the council.

  

All stakeholders will attend  

Head and members of Parliamentary National Education, Culture and Sports Commission, Deputy Ministers of National Education and department heads of the central organization of the ministry will attend the council as natural members. Experts from other ministries, public offices and agencies, local administrations, universities, local and international trade associations, nongovernmental organizations, press, students, parents will attend the council as other stakeholders of education.
