MINISTER SELÇUK ANNOUNCES THE RESULTS OF "EBA FOLLOWER SURVEY"

Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk announced the results of the "EBA Follower Survey" conducted by an independent survey company during a meeting with the members of the international press. Selçuk stressed the results revealed that the TRT EBA channels and the EBA digital platform had met the expectations and demands of teachers, students and parents adding that almost all teachers and students who benefited from EBA found questions and contents in the application very useful.

Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk had a meeting with the representatives of world media in İstanbul and evaluated the state of education in Turkey in the first year of the pandemic.
 
The Minister briefed the foreign press about the new term strategies of his Ministry and announced the results of "EBA Follower Survey" conducted by an independent survey company.
 
Selçuk said that the survey was conducted among 1400 high school students, teachers from primary, secondary and high schools and parents living in 12 cities of the country about TRT EBE channels, EBA platform, live classes, digital education and transition to face to face education.
 
According to the result of the survey, 98.9 percent of the teachers and 99.1 percent of students found contents very useful. The survey revealed that the percentage of those who believe that contents in the EBA during the digital education process increased by 8.3 percent when compared with the figures of last year and reached 83.3 percent.
 
The survey also compared the results with the figures of 2020 when Turkey started distance education. Results of the survey showed that 52.9 percent of parents, students and teachers participated in the survey found EBA services "satisfactory" and 28.5 of them believed they are "very satisfactory" while 18.6 percent were not satisfied with the services.
 
Students who found TRT EBA TV videos "very interesting" increased by 44.5 percent this year and reached 93.5 while the number of parents who believed that lesson videos are easy to understand increased by 41.4 percent and reached 95.4 percent.
 
When compared with the figures of last year, the survey revealed that students who did their homework increased by 16 percent and reached 95 percent and the number of students who repeat classes after live lessons increased by 14.6 percent and reached 93.6 percent. While the number of teachers who viewed digital education as an alternative to face to face education increased by 74.6 percent and reached 89,6 percent and the number of students who support face to face education increased by 38,5 percent and reached 76,5 percent.
