Results of the 2014-2015 school year placements for 8th graders to high schools according to the “Basic Education Secondary School Institutions Transition System” have been made public.

The placement procedures have been undertaken according to the preferences made by the students in line with the scores of they have obtained according to the Placement Basic Scores (YEP) obtained in a series of exams. Students can obtain their results at the Internet address www.sinavlar.gov.tr and http://teog2015.meb.gov.tr.

1 million 108 thousand 182 students out of 1 million 288 thousand 315 students have made their preferences according to their scores calculated through the Placement Basic Scores. About 94 percent which means 1 million 36 thousand 809 students who have made their preferences have veeb placed in a school of their choice. About 66 percent of our students which corresponds to 736 thousand 796 students have been placed in a school according to the first five preferences they made, while 87 percent which means 960 thousand 136 students have been placed in the first ten schools of their choice. About 71 thousand 373 students and those who have not made any preferences and who have not registered with a private educational institution have been placed in the open school institutions. After the placements there are still 248 thousand 908 vacancies for students.

Students who have not been placed in a school of their choice, students who have not made a preference at all and students who have been placed in a school according to their choice but who want to change can apply to the e-okul.meb.gov.tr Internet address between August 17-21, August 24-28 and August 31 and September 4 of 2015 to request new placements. Students will be able to make three preferences during this application and will be able to have their applications approved by any school principals’ office. The transfer period for placements will end on September 7, 2015. Detailed information can be obtained at odsgm.meb.gov.tr or the Guide for Preferences and Placements.
