VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS REVEALED THEIR DIFFERENCES IN VARIOUS ACTIVITIES ORGANIZED AS A PART OF THE EUROPEAN VOCATIONAL SKILLS WEEK

Vocational High Schools participated in the European Vocational Skills Week organized by the European Commission with the purpose of bringing all stakeholders together under one umbrella to showcase the many benefits of Vocational and Technical Education.

Our country has been witnessing an important improvement in vocational and technical education. Increase in the income of vocational schools, production capacity improvement, R&D centers, intellectual and industrial property rights projects and increasing number of students enrolled in the vocational and technical schools are among the indicators of this improvement. Recently, the Ministry of National Education set a new goal to enroll one million students in these schools.

Vocational and technical schools put their signatures under important projects and revealed their importance in all categories during the European Vocational Skills Week.

The week under the theme of "Vocational Education and Training and Green Transition" aims at neutralizing carbon until 2010 within the framework of Green Consensus and raising awareness about carbon footsteps.

European Vocational Skills Week working groups established in the provincial directorates of national education organized local activities. Festivities and exhibitions organized by these groups drew the attention of all people.

Meanwhile, Ankara Cezeri Yeşil Technology High School awarded with second prize by the European Commission in the most innovative high school contest organized as a part of the European Vocational Skills Week.
